Salt & Purpose Studios, LLC (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) provides professional website development, website management, and ongoing subscription-based services. This Refund Policy explains how refunds, cancellations, and website ownership rights are handled.

By subscribing to or purchasing services from Salt & Purpose Studios, LLC, you agree to the terms outlined below.


2. No Refunds

All payments made to Salt & Purpose Studios, LLC are non-refundable, including:

  • Website development fees
  • Subscription or maintenance plan fees
  • Monthly or annual service fees
  • Setup fees, onboarding fees, or migration fees
  • Any digital goods or services rendered

We do not offer refunds for any reason, including but not limited to:

  • Dissatisfaction with design
  • Decision to discontinue services
  • Changes in business direction
  • Failure to use the service

3. Subscription Billing & Cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled.

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time.
  • Cancellation becomes effective at the end of the current billing cycle.
  • We do not offer prorated refunds for mid-cycle cancellations.
  • Access to ongoing services, maintenance, and technical support ends once the subscription expires.

4. Website Ownership & Transfer Rights

4.1. Before 12 Months of Payments

If you cancel before completing 12 consecutive months of subscription payments:

  • You do not own the website we created.
  • You receive a license to use the website only while subscribed.
  • You may not:
    • Copy the website to another server
    • Transfer hosting elsewhere
    • Export the full site
    • Reproduce or repurpose the design, content layout, theme configuration, or custom code

Upon cancellation, the website may be disabled or removed from our hosting environment.

4.2. After 12 Consecutive Months of Subscription Payments

Once you have completed 12 full consecutive months of subscription payments:

  • You may request an export of your website files and database.
  • You may move the website to another hosting provider of your choice.
  • You receive a perpetual, non-exclusive license to the website as it exists at the time of export.

4.3. What May Not Transfer

Certain components may not be transferable, such as:

  • Premium themes or plugins with non-transferable licenses
  • Proprietary templates or internal frameworks created by Salt & Purpose Studios, LLC
  • Server-side scripts, hosting configurations, or settings tied to our systems
  • Email, DNS, or integrated platform configurations
  • Third-party API keys
  • Any assets not owned by the client

If items cannot be transferred due to licensing restrictions, we will notify you during the export process.


5. Development Work & Custom Projects

All project fees, deposits, and milestone payments are non-refundable.

If a project is paused, abandoned, or canceled by the client, any payments already made remain non-refundable and non-transferable.


6. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

Initiating a chargeback for a validly delivered service, subscription, or website build is considered a breach of these Terms.

We reserve the right to:

  • Provide proof of delivery to the payment processor
  • Pursue recovery of fees
  • Disable access to services, subscriptions, or websites associated with the disputed payment
